Hey,

So, I'm one of those n00bs you hear about on the television. Everyone's been very helpful here, and plan on coming by the meeting on Wednesday to meet more people in person. Since the truck isn't quite running yet, I figured I'd post more pics than just the engine bay beforehand.

So anyway, yeah, here's the truck from when I picked it up.

The good side.

The rusty end.

The homemade tailgate, and primer to hopefully slow the rust progression.

Anyway, here's the necessary specs:

-'72 40
-2F swap (with frankensteined parts)
-Seats from '96(ish) Prelude
-Both front and rear heaters
-rust free doors not pictured

Picked it up a couple months ago from a guy named JC up in Conifer. He rebuilds them professionally, I believe, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was on here, or at least known.

There are a few easily patchable rust spots in the bed. Once I fix those I'll use a bedliner on the interior. Going to trim the body below the doors and build sliders at some point. Other future plans include SOA, 35s, transmission upgrade, power steering, maybe a Vintage AC system to clear up leg room, whatever else I can think of. I'll try to replace the rust sooner than later as well. ;)

The seats are very comfortable. They have much more bolster than my car that's usually praised for it's seats (at least in the Saab realm). I'll eventually get some wet okole covers for them and cover the jump seats to match.

Anyway, That's the truck in a nutshell. You'll get a chance to learn about me at the meeting. See you there.

I believe JC is motoloco. Good to see ya posting up on the forum! And hope that you'll make it to the meeting next week! You'll be hooked for sure! :D

I believe JC is motoloco.

After some searching, you are indeed correct. The rig in his avatar was about 5 feet behind the 40 in that first pic.
