Hi all,

I took the plunge and bought a Garmin NUVI 760 and a 2GB SD card.

Looks like I have to buy a Mapsource software and then the US Geological Colorado and Utah regions..

Then I select the quadrants I want and copy them to my map source software and then import them to my SD card.

Do I have that about right? Is anyone else doing this? Or is this old news?

By the way.. I got the Nuvi 760 at Best buy for $378.00. Walmart had it for $378.00 on their web and Best buy matched the price.

Chris:

We have a Nuvi 350. It came with the USA CDROM which turns out to be pretty darn good.

But yeah, that's about it. There is an application that does the installing of the maps on the nuvi if I recall. Other than that, the firmware upgrades on the nuvi are easy, and there is plenty of room for some MP3s too.

That is correct. The US Cities one is connected to your system so you have to buy your own copy. I have the US Geo CD if you want to borrow it. LMK just give me a call or email.
