I was taking Ken's suggestion that I get my drive-shaft's balance checked. But I was also thinking that since I recently purchased a dial gauge...if I bought a pair of v-blocks, I could check to see if the shaft was bent. It would also prove to be useful to checking out my front axles when I rebuild them (again). I found some decent ones on E-Bay (http://cgi.ebay.com/GROUND-JUMBO-V-BLOCKS-PR-NO-RESERVE-NEW_W0QQitemZ7579654520QQcategoryZ25272QQcmdZViewItem#ShippingPayment) for $16.95. I also just found one on Harbor Freight's (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=44560) web site too. Is anyone looking to sell a pair or can anyone suggest other locations near the Littleton area that might stock these?

Those eBay v blocks look nice.

I found these on the intraweb:
http://www.titantoolsupply.com/vblk.htm -- they come with an "attractive Wooden Storage Case."

These have ball bearings:

More, direct from Flexbar (http://flexbar.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=F&Category_Code=VBS)

It's amazing how much they charge for some of these. The one's on E-Bay look pretty good (and accurate) for the price. I've never ordered from E-Bay, I think it would make me a little nervous. Just like those new fangled computers. ;)

Thanks.

I've had only a handful of bad eBay experiences, as both a buyer and seller. Most people are quite honest. Look for someone with a decent amount of feedback and a track record of being online for a while. If you pay using PayPal, you can also usually get your money refunded if the product fails to show up on your doorstep.

My experiance with Ebay parallells what Matt said! 92% really great :fing: , 8% edgy  and 2% I'll kill the mofo's if I ever meet 'em! :rip:
