View Full Version : WTB/WFF: Top and various parts

I need to find a top for my 40 ('72) before winter rolls in and wanted to see if anybody could help me out. I'd prefer a hard top, but anything will do if it keeps me warm and dry. Also, I'm in need of some sun visors and a back up light. If anybody has any of these they are looking to part with, let me know.
I'm in a perpetual state of brokeness lately, so the cheaper I can get these for the better.

Saw one on Craigslist over the weekend, early model too.

Happen to have a link? My searches are only coming back with an incomplete top up in Vail.

Getting cold out there. Anybody? :(

Did you see this one?

Don't know what it is, but those weren't coming up in searches for me. $400 is a lot more than I can afford right now. I just need something to keep the weather off my back. Don't think I can foot the bill for something that actually looks decent.

The $400 top has been posted for awhile, so if he still has it, you could probably offer a lot less.

I got a few things I've been meaning to put up on craigslist for awhile. I just put the big ticket item up. Maybe it'll give me some room to work wit, and some new tires on top of it.

It's really gotten cold lately. :(
Anybody willing to lend one out until such time as I can find/afford one to call my own?

I saw this (http://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-parts/247379-67-fj40-hard-top.html) up on MUD. Looks like, he's been trying to find a new home for a month or so, maybe you can work out a deal. The drive is a way out there, but at least on the way back you'll have a roof over your head.

Hmm. I'll be in Silverthorne for Thanksgiving, and it appears to be on a trailer. I'll have to see if I can find some cash somewhere to make him a deal.
Thanks for the heads up.

I have a hardtop in good shape for a 73 '40. I paid $350 for it and would sell it for that. I might be willing to trade. PM me if interested in purchase or trade.
BTW-you can't be suffering too much today.:D

PM on it's way.
