In the near future the State of Colorado will probably most likely maybe (got to cover my behind) will be hiring Electronics Specialists of varying experience..

When the positions are posted, the posting is ONLY for 7 days.

Work will be on the State of Colorado Digital Trunked Radio System

Positions will be in Grand Junction, Alamosa and elsewhere...

Government moves slow and steady.... so don't expect this to happen today tomorrow or a month from now... Its at least a 2-3 month process from posting of the positions (which has not been done yet)

Must be willing to climb towers to 300 feet
Must be willing to be on call 24/7 for no extra pay (comp time when called out)
Must obtain FCC GROL license within first year

The good... it pays ok, its a lot of outdoor work, you are always doing something different..

Figured I'd post this here based on the economy...

You do trust me...

When I showed up to work, as a Spec III I knew not alot... Ham Radio counts for a lot!

Give me a call if you have questions. I can coach you through the app process and if you got the GROL before an interview it would be huge ( I got mine in 10 days!) You could concievable get yours by the time the app period closed!
