I made a J-pole today for the HT. The "hardest" part was exposing the two 1/8" sections of the twin lead. I was very happy when I tested it that I could hit the CRA repeater in the Springs from Broomfield using 5 watts on my TH-F6a. I'll give it a go with the fellas on the Monday night Rising Sun rag chew. Last week my rubber ducky's performance was inaqequate.

I attached the directions for making one of these. If any one needs an SMA connector let me know as I have a few extras.

You will notice much improvement over the rubber duck antennas HT's come with. A few of us built those last winter and they worked very well. Hope to hear you Monday night
