Hello All,
I am in need of a 75+ FJ40 front or rear differential. Let me know if you have one or know someone with one for sale.

Thanks!!

I think the one I have is from a '69.

I have a complete carrier from a '95 80 series rear. That would be an upgrade as it is fine spline 4:11's and more webbing on the drop out. The flange will be large pattern late model but the indexing ring is the same so you simply clock your driveshaft in between the existing holes and redrill, pretty easy upgrade! $100 obo

why 75+? you don't gain any upgrades until 1979 with the fine spline pinion. other than that, you can use 67 or so and newer. i've got a complete 69 front end i'll sell for $75. you can use the drop in, axle housing and inner axles on a mid 70s disc setup and sell the rest.;)

I currently have a 69 vintage diff in mine with a coarse spline pinion and a Detroit Locker. If I get your diff can I re-use my detroit or do I have to get a different one? What about axles?

If I can make it work reasonably then I will take your diff.

Are your axles 10 spine or 30? If it's a Detroit C-locker and not the "no-spin" or "EZ" locker you should be set as I don't believe the real Detroit lockers are available for coarse spline axles.

The axles are 30 spline but I think the pinion is 10, does that make sense? I was told it was an actual Detroit Locker and when I installed the disc brakes and popped the axles out I know it was a PITA getting the C clips off and on.

I want to keep my locker but my rear diff ist kaput and I would like to upgrade to something beefier.
