Mud recommended for??

I haven't tried this stuff yet (been using Mobil 1 of various types and the Rotella) but since I have to change my oil every 3 months which is usually less than 2K miles I've been having "fun" getting oil analysis' done on the various oils.

Bottom line, if this is good oil for an 80 I'll take it :thumb:

Anything that can tolerate molasses in the crankcase. I think it's because it has lots zinc dithiophosphate. Supposedly most weights and brands of motor oil have taken the zinc compounds out for whatever reason. I guess it's bad for catalytic converters mostly, but it also burns and increases particulate pollution from the engine. But the zinc was there to protect the high wear items, cams, followers, etc. Dunno, I tend to not worry about it since I run 10W30 in the squirrel cage and it would be an act in futility to bother (it would require spending $10/at for Redline and forget finding extra if you need a quart on the road). You can usually achieve the same goal by using any 'racing' type oil that doesn't carry an API approval.
