So I had to bleed the brakes after replacing the master cylinder (on the FJ40), and the rubber caps (to prevent dirt and dust from getting into the nipple) that were on the bleeder screws just crumbled away when I went to pull them off.

I went to a couple of local parts chains, and no one carries new caps. Anyone no where I can get these critically important parts?

I'd bet the dealer can get them. Or if you don't want to spend OEM kind of money and would rather spend $1 for all 4, go to McGluckin's and ask the guy for bleed screw dust caps or maybe vacuum caps. I'm a little surprised that an auto parts place would not have a box of them, maybe in the Dorman boxes or hanging on those Help! racks.

Worst case if you can't find anything, you can send your money to Summit.

Call Jerry. He can feed you more information and get you parts at the same time. :D

Yeah, I never realized they existed until I bought my 80 series, and I've owned a whole lotta vehicles.
