Hi all,

I found an installer locally who is replacing the interior leather of my LX and I was needing a D/S seat foam. Before I went and bought one new, just wanted to see if any one of you guys may have it available.

I am also looking for a pair of OME 850 for the front.

Thanks for taking a look.

Just FYI, a good trim shop can build up your current seat to however you like 'em. 80's series seat cushions pretty much suck, I know the LX are supposed to be better, but for your $$$ the custom route might be the ticket.

Good luck.

They are different between the passenger and driver's side. Oleg, Irbis off road might have a used driver side that is better than yours.

I would buy a new one and you can get them through several of our sponsoring Toyota Dealers. After all the effort to redo the interior, do you really want to sit on an 11-14 year old cushion? Replacing it with the leather was a big difference.

I can't find my invoice but the above was in the $600 dollar range...

Thanks all for your response. I was offered the rebuild on the cushion and I opted against it exactly for the reason Romer outlined above. The driver seat cushion is beat to crap. I am not sure about the back of it; it feels fine to me, but I will have to look it at once the leather comes off. Romer did you replace the seat back also when you changed yours out?

Thanks for all the response everyone.

Sure, understand on the rebuild, the result is a risk. Mine was so bad that I couldn't drive more than about 45 miles in it. Now it's like a sofa. That hard old stuff isn't going anywhere as long as it hasn't busted through the bottom of the seat, so you can build on top of it, but I definitely spent as much as a new cushion (total job was $245).

Of course, the owner of the shop in the Springs that did mine has a bad back, and he knew exactly what the problem was just sitting in it, so I was confident in having money well spent. I'll be doing the passenger side soon.

Good luck, I think new cushions run about $145 or so?

I only did the bottom cushion as well but had I know how compressed the drivers side back was too I would have replaced it as well!

Thanks Mike for getting the prices for me. I think I will do the driver seat bottom only and the back. The passenger can get used to the flattened foam.
