Researching new fridges.. and thinking that one that doesn't stick way out past the cabinets would be a nice to have. Anyone have experience with one?

We just ordered a new fridge. Looked at cabinet depth but decided on something the wall to handle was 34" freezer on bottom and french doors above. The cabinet depth that we found were more exspensive and like 4 cubic feet smaller. I'll ask my wife tomorow what we ordered.

We have one and like it. They are smaller and if it fails it's gonna cost us! Totally dependent on whats important to you! We ordered a custom cabinet face for it when we ordered our custom maple cabinets.

We've owned one for many years, including when there were teenagers in the home. A freezer downstairs was mandatory. Otherwise, we like it. The next one will be a trio with a freezer in the bottom. Having ice through the door is not that big a deal for us and gives a bit more room.

No experience but thinking of one next time for a little more clearance in the kitchen. This is our most recent frig/freezer purchase. Can't tell from the pic but it is 6' tall. Frig is on top, lower section is freezer. Top can be set to freeze as well if desired.

Wow, cool fridge Corbet. but thanks for the responses, we have both the fridge this will be replacing, as well as a chest freezer, so I think we're going to go for it. This is the one we're looking at, it's a Kenmore.

The LG's are cheaper but we had a bad experience with an LG at our last house and I won't buy an LG fridge again, though I will give props to Best Buy's warranty, was glad they upsold me on that. Was still a pain in the butt though (and why we ended up with the chest freezer, actually )

Hey John, we have the same glasses, did you get those in Mexico? We got ours in Nogales..

You might check the Sears Outlet store over by Denver Water. You might get it at less than full retail. :D

X2 We have bought several appliances there. Full warranty and large discounts for cosmetic damage. The fridge we bought had a tiny ding on the side panel and is covered by cabinets.

There's a Sear's Outlet at 88th & Wadsworth- same deal as the one down by Denver Water? I am probably going over there on Thursday for lunch just to see anyway, first time I'll be able to break free this week..
