The question of the day is will this unit work in a fj40 with out the break proportioning valve?? Reason i'm asking is i can not locate BPV so on mud i've read a few people have used this unit with out on there 40's just want to see what you folk's think...

can't you put in a generic 60/40 or some other split that will mimic the original toyota part?

Put in a manual prop valve from Summit Racing (or one with metric fittings added from http://www.FrontRangeOffRoadFab.com)

Kevin, an important qualification is are you running disc/drum on your 40 or disc all the way around?
I think the early ('91-'92) 80 series are disc/drum and non-ABS, so that would fit my stock 40 application. However, I think the 80 series MC is 1" bore, while my '78 disc/drum MC is 7/8" bore.
If I have my physics straight, swapping from smaller to larger bore will increase pedal effort...

I'am running a disc brake front and drum rear, as for finding a 60/40 part that's the problem can't find one been looking for a few day's and i'll take a look at the frontrange offroad...
