View Full Version : Started a new build up...

We have had the basic parts for this for some time now. But just felt we never had the time or money to get this project under way. With the new house and everything else pretty well settled we decided it was time.

So here is the basic plan:

The timeline is set for a late September completion date.

Marianne is going to do the vast majority of build from here.

I can't show you pictures of the parts we started with but after putting our junk together we came up with this. We each suppled 50% of the parts for the basic drive train. From here Marianne will complete the buildup and we will both cover the PM later. Which promised to be pretty significant on the rig like this.

First pics......

Most excellent!!

I knew if enough club members showed you two how it was done, you'd eventually figure it out :)

Great write up of the build too :D

Congrats to you both!!

Even though these types of rigs do usually prove to be in need of constant maintenance and care; not to mention the surprise needs that often come up out of nowhere, I find them to still be quite enjoyable and worth the effort.

Great project. We've started two of these this decade, and they are progressing well, but slowly. Congrats!
