I like doing much of the maintenance on our two Cruisers but some jobs just seem better left to the pros, including head gasket replacement on the 1FZE powered Cruisers. Knowing that the job is done right with absolutely no second guessing is worth the price of having the job done professionally, IMO. Those that have 80s know what I am talking about regarding the probablility of, and concerns involved with, the head gasket replacement job that are well documented on the web. To have a shop like Slee Off Road that has techs as well versed AND EXPERIENCED as Joe and Ben available to the Rising Sun members is a blessing. Thanks, especially to Joe, for erasing the thought of having a head gasket popping when Murphy thinks it would be it would be funniest on our next road trip.
