How about at the Fort, 9:30-10ish? I have a new employee that lives near the entrance, says totally dry.

I need to test my mods, too. Kids are welcome, as my 3 y.o. is coming.

Cool - we need some 40's to get some good wheelstands on the way out!

The Fort is just off US285 and Morrison Road.

I've been wanting to hit Slaughterhouse Gulch for some time and meet some folks on this site. :)

Any stock Toyota 4x4 with a beginner driver can do this trail. It's super-easy and lots of fun!

The first sentence does not apply if the snow is more than two feet deep though

I should be there Mike. I may miss the meeting spot at the Fort, and if so I'll meet you at the trailhead. Might have a friend in a T100 with me.

How far is Slaughterhouse from the Denver area?

How far is Slaughterhouse from the Denver area?

About 25-35 miles depending on which part of the Denver area you measure it from and how you define the Denver area. The turn off from US 285 is at the top of Crow Hill a couple miles before Bailey, then about 6 miles from there to the trailhead.

Figure on about 35-45 minutes from the intersection of C470 and 285 near Morrison to the trailhead.
