I have a decent set of hub caps for the stock 5.5" wheels. They're on my 80 Hilux but I've seen these on 40 series as well. The black paint has been lovingly washed off or faded from UV, not sure. There are minor dents that can probably be persuaded with judicial placement of a ball peen hammer or a rounded drift.

If they were pristine I'd ask for more, but I feel they're worth lunch money to me. I'd rather not risk damaging them so I'm popping them off tonight and storing them for their next happy owner.

PM me, or click my name in my sig to email me directly.

I'll snap more pix in the daylight if anyone wants...

You, eh? Honestly, my second guess would have been Martin, though.

And I was wondering what a '91 would look like with hub caps. I'm going a slightly different vintage wheel direction on Imelda, though.

Those have just the right amount of patina for Ricardo's 40. :thumb:

The firewall at work supresses some of the images in posts, so I won't be able to see the pictures until this evening. However, based upon Martin's assessment it sounds like just the thing to spruce up my truck. I still need to get disc brake steel wheels as the ones I currently have are for a drum brake truck.

They're hosted on photobucket so maybe your IT Police block that domain? I can email them to you. Click my name in my sig to send me an email and I'll reply with attachments.

I may have a line on 5 steel wheels from another '80 Hilux. They were offered to me for free by the guy I got the camper shell from. I'll call him this morning and see if he still has them if you think they'll work. They are less attractive than mine.

I like the look too, but I like the bare wheel look even more. You should see all the chrome I've removed or otherwise hidden on my rat-bob Triumph. I'm probably gonna sell my hitch-reinforced dealer-original rear bumper soon too (have my eyes on a marlin crawler front and rear). I think I have a thing against chrome. :blah:

I'm gonna drill out the cap clip rivets, braze the holes and try to find a powdercoater with the right, creamy white color.

Ricardo, left a VM for the owner of the free wheels. As soon as I hear back I'll let you know. I'll mark them up 0% for you. :)

That works for me. That would mean I will have 4 drum brake steel wheels (with old tires) that can be passed on to another for the same low price and mark up.:thumb:
