I spoke with Greg Mumm the Executive Director of the Blue Ribbon Coalition (BRC) tonight

Greg called me because he was very appreciative of what the Rising Sun Club is doing for Land Use.

Every year we donate the proceeds from our Cruise Moab raffle to Land Use issues including the BRC. These are the donations that were presented to the club a few months ago, voted and approved by the membership.

This year, we stepped up as a club and took the Save Tellico challenge and set the example for the other clubs in the TLCA with a donation. I had been communicating with Greg to let him know we were sending our normal donation direct to the BRC and wanted to know the address to send it to.

Greg expressed his desire to make a meeting if it works out with his travel schedule and he wants to send someone to the CM dinner from the BRC to say thanks in person.

He was very appreciative of this club and what we do for the sport. I told him that the club is very appreciative of what he and the entire staff of the BRC does for us.

Many of us will get the chance to chat with Greg and his lovely wife Rhonda at the Black Hills Cruiser Classic. It is one of the few times Greg has an opportunity to actually wheel instead of fighting for our right to wheel in Washington DC. One of the reasons I included his picture is so you can thank him for all his hard work when you see him.

If your not familiar with all the great work the BRC does, check out their web site http://www.sharetrails.org/

Del Albright recruited me into the BRC in 1992 when I first got into trail running in the Sierra. Great organization.

That is excellent that the club is getting noticed.

For clarification, because I know if I am confused, there will be others.
Rising sun dues make us a member to:

$30 for Rising Sun - http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/
$10 CoA4WDCi - http://hightrails.org/
$20 United - http://www.ufwda.org/

but not members of the The BlueRibbon Coalition - http://www.sharetrails.org/

The link above that directs us to our page is valid but the link in that thread is no longer valid. Individual memberships to the Blue Ribbon Coalition are $29 a year.

'Bout dang time he gets his butt up here! He said he would last year too, I even told Mr. Morgan about a "surprise guest." BR keeps him very busy! BR still does biz in Idaho so Greg has to spend most weeks there then fly home most weekends. Greg and Rhonda are great folks!

The dues pay for individual membership in those organizations. A club membership is not paid out of dues and am assuming our yearly donation takes care of that
