Hi all.
I dont know if I will have a whole lot of time, But I will be heading through Denver to pick up a Pig from timmbuck2 on Sat the 18th.
Trip route will most likely be... SLC - Florence - Denver - Florence - SLC
We have family in Florence, So I may or may not be solo into Denver, I will have to see if my family wants to head North or not, Im still not 100% sure exactly where Im going once I get to Denver :D
Like I say, Im not sure how much visiting that there will be had, But I will let you know as things get closer.
Have fun

Thanks guy's, I am trying to leave SLC on the 17th as early as possible(6AM), I dont know if I will still head to Florence first or not, I need to chat with Michelle a bit more, I would think that if I have time it would be better to derive straight to Denver via I-80.
Some friends have some items that could be picked up at Slee, But I dont know how close I will be to Golden.
If we cant meet up, CM is only a week or so later ;)

Thanks again, I just received an email from Tim, He said he is 30 min. from Slee.
I think I have talked Michelle into driving straight through to Denver on I-80, So if we leave at ~ 6AM, We should be in Denver around 7-8 hours later.
We are still getting snow, So I may need to rent a car trailer of some sort in Denver, Our trailer is in Idaho.
I will fill in more info as I figure it out.
Have fun

Sounds like I may be bringing some rims to CO with me for fubuki.
Other than that the plan is still somewhat the same.
If my trailer falls through, Anyone have any suggestions on getting a U-Haul? Tim, Ige?
Thanks :thumb:

It looks like I may be in Denver a bit earlier than I had planned so disregard the U-Haul stuff, I will be picking up a trailer in Vernal UT. on Thurs. 16th, So its possible I may be in Denver around 3-4Pm, Im sure we could stick around for food, I have no idea where that would be family oriented.
Food thoughts?
Thanks

So, I hear the weather is suppose to be shabby this weekend, Like feet of snow?!?
Truth?
Anyone know the road conditions on hwy40 out of Dinosaur through Denver on I-70?
Thanks, Just trying to see if we need to postpone a week or not.

visit www.cotrip.org and call 303 639-1111 for the latest. Its reliable. Rabbit Ears Pass will be the worst spot on 40.

40 is a well-traveled road. CDOT will keep it cleared unless we get 3 feet of snow. Then it might take them a while.

Are we having fun yet?!?
It looks like Denver is still getting the works...
I will chat with everyone here to see if we push on to Denver or not, It also looks like we should be able to make it to I-70 from Hwy-40 before we have any issues.

latest from NOAA
DENVER:
Today: Snow. High near 37. North northwest wind between 15 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.
Tonight: Snow. Low around 31. North northwest wind between 7 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Saturday: Snow. High near 36. North northwest wind between 8 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches possible.

So 12 - 24 inches possible?

Sounds worse in the mountains, Denver roads will probably be slushy, but mountains will be snowpacked and icy....
