Hey everybody,

I have some friends coming to visit next week and would like to know of some good places near Denver where we can do some mild wheeling and tent camping. We aren't looking for super hardcore wheeling spots, just some nice scenic trails where I can flex my SOA 60 and camp along the way. All responses are appreciated.

Sorry but the Vail area is still deep in snow for camping or leaving the pavement. Stay close to the front range is my only advice. I can recommend some nice places up here for later in the year.

The front range just got pounded last weekend, I doubt many trails are open right now. Rollinsville just got over 50 inches of snow

You can probably do some easy camping over at Pike National Forest over towards Deckers? I am not sure if the gate is open yet due to the recent snowfall around here.
