I just replaced all the seals on the knuckles. I didn't do the knuckle bearings or the wheel bearing. It's not a suprise to anyone here but the marlin axle seals are awesome! I replaced them on my 80. I do have to say i'd buy the tool to install them next time too.

Wish I would've known you were doing this...I happen to have the tool sitting in a box with my seals you would have been welcome to borrow...Three Wheel Ben suggested I get the Marlin seals over the OEMs and I've learned to follow Ben's advice and warnings after learning my lesson on the front brake pads

Hopefully I'll actually get to this after CM 09

What do you mean, the movie Cars kicks bootie. Unless that means I stopped development about age 3, which is certainly possible.

be careful if you use the tool on the 80 seals.

Yup, the website now says "This installer currently does NOT work with our 1991-97 FJ80 EcoSeal HD inner axle seals."

I had no issues with a long brass drift and some patience when I did my front axles...twice...

Aw SNAP :( - Thanks for posting this up Wes as I'm sure I would have ruined my new seals on install...Guess I'll keep the tool around for the 40...Maybe a trip to HF for the bearing race and seal driver set is in order...

Marlin is making another one for the 80 seals. Depends on when you do the seals on the 80.
