I did a frame off on my FJ in 1996. It has served me well over the years but 4 grandchildren have created a need for a larger vehicle. If you go to Cruise Moab you may have seen me lead trails with her. Here's the skinny:
1970 FJ 40 frame off restoration done 1996. Sandblasted frame, Media blasted body. 92 Chevy 350 TBI with 29K miles at time of installation. SM420 with Advance Adapters Rock Box and Toyota “3 speed” T Case. 76 front axle with disc brakes. TSM disc brake conversion on rear. ARB lockers Front and Rear. Saginaw power steering. 93 Honda Prelude front bucket seats. Custom dash with Autometer gauges. Tuffy console with Radio/CD/ I pod connection. Full roll cage. T Rex side sliders. 36” Super Swampers on 15 inch rims. Warn 9000 lb winch with front high lift mounted jack. Revolver rear shackles, front shackle reversal. 4” suspension lift, 1 1/2” body lift. Bushwacker rear fender flares. Kayline soft top…no hard top or hard doors. Custom swing away rear tire carrier. Factory center facing rear jump seats ( recovered). Longfield front birfield replacement axles. Rancho 9000 shocks with on board air compressor and gauge. Confer 22 gallon fuel tank with skid plate. Mountain off road idle controller. Warn locking front hubs.

This vehicle has dings and scrapes consistent with an off road vehicle. It has been a trailer queen, always towed to Moab and other sites. The odometer currently shows 7000 miles since the frame off restoration. The vehicle has never rolled. The engine starts and runs perfectly with the fuel injection. The low gearing provided by the SM 420 and Rock Box is awesome. Call Dave at 720-870-3023 or 303-870-1065. Price is right so non-negotiable!
