Karie and I are planning to build a ski fence in our back yard. We're looking for old skis. If you have any old skis that you no longer use but have been reticent to throw away, we'd love to have them. Thanks!

Man, I love it. Hopefully you have an HOA and it pisses them off. That would be so sweet.

I believe there is a little ski shop in Evergreen near the park-and-ride and Dedisse Park that has loads of them outside their shop. Probably wrecked customer boards abandoned for the taking. I can check for you. I know when I worked at a shop we could have filled a dumpster each season with skis that customers brought in and then left due to damage, age, etc.

I might have a pair of two that I "should" donate to the cause :thumb:

Matt,

Still doing this and if so, when might you want some skis? I keep forgetting to check in the basement :(

I'll double check the garage tonight and let you know how many I've got. I used to teach skiing at Eldora and some extras lyin' around.

Thanks, guys. We're still planning to create this, but our acquisition of old skis has been slow. We'll take anything you want to get rid of.

Bump.

Hey Matt, the ski shop I was telling you about in Evergreen looks to be closing its doors. They are clearing out and they have Hundreds of pairs of skis lined up outside (for the taking I assume). There's enough there to do a whole fence. The shop is on Evergreen Parkway on the right hand side just before Dedisse Park.

Wow, that sounds like I need to make a trip up there ASAP. What's the name of the shop? I'm not sure I know Evergreen well enough to find it.

I can't recall the name, but as you head down Evergreen Parkway from I-70, the shop is next to a gas station on the right before you go down the hill to the lake. Can't miss it. :thumb:

The name of the street is Troutdale, will be first turn after you see Safeway. Turn right then immediate left on the frontage road, down to the gas station/liquor store.

I was going to say the same thing about the 40 too, funny..

Are you still looking for old skis Matt? I have about 4 or 5 pairs that you can have.

Sure! We have a lot, but we can always use a few more. Not sure if we'll get around to building the fence in what's left of 2010.
