I extended the wheelbase of my 40 and am looking for a minitruck front CV shaft to use as my rear driveshaft. Wouldn't be opposed to an early 60 front CV shaft as I could have it shortened, but I think a minitruck shaft would allow me to get back on the road with minimal $ & time compared to other options. Just to throw this out, flange to flange is 27.75" so if you have something close let me know. Thanks!

Try going online and finding Solid Rock Offroad in Castle Rock, CO. Send him an email, at one time he had an extra mini truck front shaft he was going to give me. I ended up just getting a new double cardan CV shaft built by Rocky Mtn Driveline for $150

Yota Yard has a whole shed full of them! Tell Troy you're from Rising Sun and they will be $50 or less and you can pick through them to find a perfect one! Ron, at Driveline Service of Boulder can perform magic on them and the flex will be amazing!

UB, thanks for the heads up. Sounds like that will be my best option, as I can measure and find what works best for me.

Did you provide a core with the joints? I just called them and they quoted $195 to lengthen my rear shaft with the 2 1/2" .120 wall tube.

Yota Yard has a huge pile of them! I'm headed over this week to get one to build my spare drive shaft from so let me know if I need to get 2. $50 is what Troy was selling them to me for and I got to pick them out....Troy is no longer there so we'll see if Nancy will honor the same deal.

I saw your post about Yota Yard when I was searching for a shaft, but I just don't make it to the front range often. That being said, this is a very tempting offer. I bought a nice shaft to use as a core for a new rear shaft and I will be sending it out to High Angle Driveline in CA to get lengthened & a thicker tube (they were having a 20% off offer on Pirate). I could use a CV and some good joints for my homemade front shaft I plan on making. Can you PM me your # so we can chat? An email address would work as well. Thanks,

Evan
