Been way too long...

UB and I ran up to Jenny Creek to break trail. The main road is still snowed in with a few drifts up to the turnoff. Got in a bad way trying to follow Kevin but he got the 40 back to a safe place without incident. I did have to promise that no pics of Wild Rice would surface until it is purdy but, I'll tell you it is cool already. Simply amazing.

Great day for wheeling.

Not sure when the new sign was put up but I like it. That is one reason we try to break trail early. It sets a precedent for the year and keeps people on the road.

I was just thinking if anyone has gone up there to see what the conditions are. Sweet!

Yup, kept Mikey entertained all day riding shotgun! There was a chance of getting into awkward situations with the vehicles which might be seen by some as willful vehicle breakage.....you wouldn't have liked it...

I ran up Mammoth Gulch road bustin' drifts and floatin' valves. You would have liked it. There were wide safe dry roads with 6' to 8' drifts that needed to be opened. Almost all of them were soft enough that the truck broke down the snow to about a foot deep. The last drift was about 12' high and off camber so that was my lunch spot.

Nice! :thumb::thumb: :zilla: I actually made it back and got Lori picked up only 10 minutes past the "late" window! :thumb::thumb: Thanks for letting me ride along! ;)

Sure you don't....

You just haven't gotten your latte machine installed yet, and you are embarrassed that some one might catch you riding around like some non-80 owning "common folk". :D

I am not like the rest! I am strictly into mall wagons and I would never try to push my vehicle to extremes that would damage it.;)

I have seen you wheel, so i can say it would be more of a "MAUL WAGON" than a "Mall Wagon".....:rolleyes:

And though i have not seen the most recent incarnation of it, i can attest to the existance of Wild Rice... Like many WILD creatures, actual sightings of the beast are often rare and elusive...:hill:

Santa Cruz is my old home. UB and the WR were not quite legends on the central coast scene shortly after I was born. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Google rocks!!! :lmao: Note: I did not photochop this! :D

I always thought he dyed his hair to erase his prior life. But I didn't know he could play guitar. I have seen Wild Rice over the years. Not afraid of nothing especially when under the "gentle" coaxing, well you know what I mean, of Uncle Ben. You don't brag until you know you can brag.

Don't mis-interpret my good natured ribbing.

I have seen the new WR, and I only tease because I'm jealous. A mall wagon it is not.

WR is a great inspiration to me to strive towards beautiful design and flawless fabrication. My own skills are by no means great, but WR puts them to shame.

Anyway, this was just friendly fun poking.
