Gulches run 2017

great run with great folks today. The curse of the gulches was upon us today. One truck right off the bat with a no start condition after airing down. The a carb issue on another truck later on.

All in all a great day on the trail. Unfortunately, I didnít take one single picture

Thanks to everyone who made it out!

There was another incident coming home. We had a tire come completely off a vehicle going about 35 mphs about 7 miles from pine junction. All of the lugs came off. Luckily we were able to jack it up and find enough lugs to put the wheel back on and get the rig going. Everyone was safe.

Wow! Which truck?

:risingsunIt was Pete in his 2nd gen runner, you kind of got way ahead of us. I was following him and he started slowing down and eventually pulled over to look at the front end. We thought maybe he was having problems with his CV axle. We got back on the road again and he took it slowly and all of sudden as he went around a corner all I saw was sparks like the 4th of July under his truck, very scary. He managed to stop the truck safely. Lucky he found the tire up the road a ways, could have been worse if someone had been coming the way. But between Ray, Pete and I we managed to get him back up and running . Thankfully we had stayed together on the way home when this happened.

The curse of the gulches is only real for mini’s. All the cruisers made it unscathed. Ha ha.
