Class Three Receiver Tubing Needed
I need a 7 1/2" long piece for the rear bumper I am building.... Does anybody have a chunk i can get? Drew... ? The regular 2 1/2" tubing i have has a seam in it that prevents the hitch from sliding in...

I got mine from Murdoch's (sp?) feed supply down here in littleton. They had several lengths available.

any ideas for the north side? I can get it tomorrow.

I used the tubing you mentioned. I just hit it with a flat file, the material acutally comes off really fast when you are just hitting the seam. I am hording what little I have left for my own hitch design. But if you are in a jam, we can work something out. Seriously though, I used 1/4" wall and with about 5 minutes on a file you can get a nice tight, but sliding, fit.

do yo uhave a little chunk of what went around it? I already started hitting it with a file and you are right, it goes pretty quickly :)

I just cut down a piece of 3" tubing with a 1/4" wall. I could cut you off a slice if you need it. Are you around tonight? Check your PM for my #

Will this work for you? Free if you want it. The tube is 6.5" long.

adam's city steel off of highway 85, right after the highway 2 split in commerce city as you head north.

and I think you meant class 5....

Drew fixed me up, just got back from over there. Thanks man, really appreciate it!

Thanks for the pic 60wag, I was gonna dice my old receiver up to use it too, but i really needed 7 1/2"... :)

Class 5 is kinda heavy for da old cruza :) I think my limit will always be a 5000lb trailer, so class 3 is good for me. of course, no telling what my actual hitch will be rated for once i finish welding it all up. looks like it might be at least as good as the class 3 hitch i took off the truck though..
