Middle St. Vrain
Middle St Vrain as of June 21st is still closed.
We ( The Trail Ridge Runners ) ran the trail on the 21st and did some work around the trail head.
The Forest Service ( ride along ) decided there was to much snow on the upper part of the trail going up Conny Creek.

So, it will be looked at again in one week.

The Trail Ridge Runners will again attempt to open the Trail this Saturday 06/28/14 , we will be running it from the Coney Creek side down to Middle St. Vrain trail..
I will try to remember to update this thread Saturday evening or Sunday morning.

Have a fun run! I'm interested in how the crossings look after last fall.

The Trail Ridge Runners ran the MSV trail in reverse on Saturday June the 28th , I say reverse because most start from the MSV trail head, we started from the Beaver Lake side or Coney Flats.
I have read other threads on other sites saying the trail was flooded out or damaged from the 2013 rains. I read these and wonder how people come up with this info.
I ran this trail in October 2013, after the rains / flooding and it was fine. Yes maybe a few rocks here and there look different, the creek crossing then and now looks the same. The elevation of this trail is over 9000 ft, most all the flooding happened on lower in elevation off road trails where the waters had built up momentum.
Anyway, it's open and enjoy.
