Wheeler Lake - Da Blue Mule is back!

We went up and ran Wheeler Lake yesterday with the Front Range 4x4 crew. The aspen were at their peak, the weather was great, the scenery was stunning and the trail was a ton of fun.

I got my windshield frame installed and painted (Thank You Home Depot) and got all of the other scratches mended. The Mule is back on the trail once again though currently missing it's new name tag.

As you can see from some of the photos I am working hard to live up to the Air Randy name bestowed upon me by Ige.

The frame came with the glass in it. Its cracked too bad to be street legal but was good enough for wheeling.

I have an appointment with Safelite glass for next week. They will cut a new piece of glass for the windshield and install it with a new gasket for $150.

What size tires are you running now? This winter is going to be the choice of $40" and lots of extra cash or rebuild /clean frt/rr axles and fine tune the suspension.

Lots of ideas but low on funds so I'll have to do the cheap homemade fixes, we'll see.

I put on 39x14.50x17 PitBull Maddogs. I went bias ply because I want the stronger sidewall and I dont care about on pavement handling or ride quality. I ordered them online from Poly Performance, pretty reasonable actually.
