FJ60 spring swap assistance in FoCo next weekend (7/24)
So I finally found someone to swap my MAF lift with and after trying this morning, we found out his hanger pins were pretty stuck to the frame. He's going to try and get that squared away this week and try again next Saturday.

In the process of a first pass attempt today, I realized I don't know as much about leaf spring suspensions as I thought I did and I want to make sure we get everything right. Thus, if anyone wants to help I'm offering up free beer and free use of a grill to come hang out. All I ask in return is you bring some tools, knowhow, and maybe some hot dogs or burgers. I'll likely get some too. Anyone wanna help?

We will be out of town that day sorry.

what you can do is go to the Marlin website or even All Pro and download their instructions on how to install a lift kit. It may be for a mini truck but it is basically the same. All you need to do is reverse the order and you should be fine.

I am sure their is a write up some where for a 60 but I don't know about that. Good luck and have a beer for me.

Did you hit up the Horsetooth club? More local to you so you might find more able particpants :)

Not sure about hanger pins but on my old Jeeps a MAPP torch, a BFH and lots ofr PB blaster was my friend. When you put it back together lots of lube for the bushings and should be good. Im not far but have a packed weekend. So all i can give is my voice and a cheer or two when it comes loose. Sorry. Springs are the easiest to work on though. Just a pain when they have been on there for a LONG time. Good luck.
