Sunday Dec 16 Liberty Trail near Penrose

It's supposed to be mid-50's and clear on Sunday. The Liberty trail should be open down by Penrose. Anyone interested in running this? You should have 33's and rear locker minimum, being a little more built is good.

I would call first! It really sucks to get down there to find a locked gate!

Agreed. Another group on CO4x4 has called and were told the gate is open now and will be unless we get a lot of moisture between now and then.

Do you know the number to call?

It's the Royal Gorge BLM field office.

Thanks-Is that a recording you can call on weekends or an office that is only open during the week?

Yep, I had already hung up my RS 2011 calendar and was looking at Jan 2011 by mistake. I corrected it though when I re-posted everything in the trip planning section. :D
