Portable HF

Just saw this message on another forum (hfpack). The station posting is located in Tennessee. I don't know what Remi was doing or specifics, but I suspect he was vehicle portable at 200W 'cause I don't remember him mentioning that he has a QRP or second portable HF rig. So either he was working from his truck or he can move the radio out to a table or something. I know he has a Buddipole portable dipole setup when stationary. So my guess is this was on Remi's end a TS-480 into a Buddipole on 20m.

I just worked KD2KDK portable in Utah, on the Hurrah Pass trail. 14342.5 HFpack
freq. Remi is not far from Moab, UT, and shows up as an APRS tracked station

I think it's neat to watch his progress, hope you do too.

Remi, it was a pleasure working you!

Yap, that was me.
Specific Equipment was:
TS-480HX, LDG200Pro, Hamstick. Yes 200W.
I was just cresting the pass coming back from Chicken Corner and decided to give it a go.

I did not mount the Buddipole.

Better description would be KD2KDK Mobile while Parked. :-)

Yes, I brought with me a 40M and 20M sticks.
I used the 40M on the drive to Moab. But once in Moab and on the drive home I was on 20M with the 20M stick the whole time.
