07 and up tundra
just wondering, for those who have or have looked at the 07 and up tundras what are your thoughts?

Thought about it when I was looking for a truck... If I never had to park it... I'd love to have one.

I have a 07 5.7 DC limited which I bought in 2010 with 35K on the odo and I love it. I just passed 85,000 miles with no issues. I use it as a daily driver and to tow my FJ40. I tow back and forth to Moab twice per year, around the front range 4 to 5 times a year and just got back from towing to and from Ouray. The truck will tow as hard as you want it to and it will maintain 75 mph though the tunnel.

MPG empty: 14-15 around town and 20 hwy.
MPG towing 7,000 lbs 9-11.

Only compliant is that is a bit bouncy on concrete roads when empty, but it is a truck.

I would recommend the truck :thumb:

I looked hard at them when we were truck shopping. they are super nice. Going from a double cab Tacoma to a Tundra, we opted for an '05. Mainly for price, partly for slightly smaller size. The newer version was a little spendy for our budget. I'm happy with the '05 but it will likely be traded in at some point towards a newer version. ;)

thanks steve, looking at 07/08's to replace my 2000 tundra and to also pull my 19 foot hybred trailer better, kind of a dog going up and over berthoud or the tunnel.

yes martin your right about the budget, but the 2000 is getting tired and boring. its the one i drove up at argentine last oct when we put signs up.

read that on the web earlier something to do with harmonic balancing of the truck do to the cracks in the road, adjusting speed seamed to help.

My neighbor has one and DD's it rather than his 80 series. He likes it a lot. Said he had been getting 18HWY in stock config. In the process of lifting it 3" this week. I'm interested for the report post lift.

I have a 2012 crew cab and love it. Just got to 30k on the ticker, and then the steering rack went out. Covered under warranty, so good to go.
I installed full icon suspension and 35" Duratracs, still getting 16-17 hwy mpg. Around town maybe 14.

I placed my order for the diesel version... they haven't called me back
