Good trail for "leaf peeping"

I know that a lot of trails are probably in pretty poor shape right now with the flooding, but my girlfriend and I wanted to get up to the mountains this weekend to check out some changing colors. Some on the list that I've done that I *think* would be good are Guanella/Argentine/McClellan, Bill Moore Lake, Georgia Pass, Breakneck Pass...are there any that you all might suggest? We definitely like to hike too a bit, so something with that mixed in would be a huge plus. I like trails in the 3-6 range in difficulty on the traildamage.com scale..with a little 7 thrown in from time to time too :D

You're early. Colors were not quite starting to change last weekend.

Argentine/Guanella is awesome though:

There are plenty of places to just stop, get out, and start walking. Old cabins hidden in the woods, or you could park in Silver Plume and hike up the old railroad grade to Pavilion Point.

Breck to Mosquito pass, Leadville to Hwy 24, Camp Hale, Minturn.

Ya that's one of my fav trails to run. I went up around this time last year and the colors were great, but we've had a lot more precipitation this year so I wondered if they'd be turning later.

Anything around Kenosha Pass is pretty good.

Mosquito Pass is now closed due to a rock slide near the mill. Probably won't be open again until sometime next year.

Is Argentine Pass something that my nearly stock '95 with a mediocre driver could conquer?! :D I've never been up there - looks beautiful...

Boreas Pass by way of Kenosha pass. Those are the best fall color areas I am aware of.
