Brake controller recommendations

I am looking for a brake controller to install on my 2013 Tundra. I have the tundra double cab with the TRD rock warrior package, 5.7 liter V8. I want to get it ready to tow my cruiser to Redline in the Springs and then hopefully Moab this spring. I have had one recommendation for a brake controller and it is the Prodigy P2 http://www.tekonsha.com/content/prod...ID=1435&part=0, average price is around $140 or so. Anyone with the new Tundra have anything that they like to use? I don't have a trailer yet but I do have access to a car dolly with electric brakes and a full size uncovered trailer with a tandem axle/electric brakes. Thanks for the help

X2 on Prodigy. Had it on my 07 Tundra DC 5.7 and it worked great.

Prodigy RF

If you don't mind spending a bit more $, get this:

http://www.adventurerv.net/tekonsha-...l-p-22392.html

It goes for about $300 however it modulates the braking rather than just going to a set value, based on your deceleration rate. No wiring, just install the module on your trailer and plug the controller into your cig lighter.
I had other versions but this is by far the most responsive to mountain driving. I am pulling an Airstream with a 2013 Tacoma. It really saves your trailer brakes because when you are just slowing a bit it barely uses the trailer brakes. If you have to make an emergency stop, it brakes accordingly.

I have had the other type and this is best, plus you can tow with another vehicle by just taking the controller with you, no wiring.

Good luck, Terry

Why Toyota does not offer an OEM (see Ford) brake controller on a truck they tow space shuttles with I'll never know. Rant off.

I have the Prodigy 2 in my 80 and I'm happy with it.

If you can cancel the order I will sell you the one from Brady's truck for $110 with the cable if it works on the 2013. LMK I have it in my office ready to go on GL this weekend or you can get it this weekend.
