Dolores River Flow

Won't be going out through the triangle this year. When we crossed at Roberts Bottom by Dewey Bridge at 400 cfs it came over the hood of the 80 a couple of years ago.

Now it's running at 1450 cfs!

Wow, that would be cool to see.

I heard there was a storm out there a few days ago and bunch of canyons flash flooded. Horse and Salt in Canyonlands included.

Very well could be back down to low flow in a couple of days maybe?

Anyone look at the flow for the Dirty Devil? :hill:

Water levels are up across most of the west thanks to over 100% snowpack. Great news for us this year as it's badly needed. Slow and steady runoff would be fantastic. I'm leaving Moab and heading straight to Montana for 5 days on the Bighorn River. The last two years, Bighorn flows were below 2000cfs for this time of year. (Controlled release) Right now it's at 7500 and fishing great!

Unless the Dolores is 200 or below...... I'm not crossing it anyway. Water scares me.

It is definitely not screaming like the Dolores:

Pretty much in alignment with the 57 year median statistics.

Looks like it's average right now. :thumb:

Edit: Dan beat me to it. ;)

Will you all please just dump all that excess water into the Colorado and send it out to California please?

MountainGoat 04-22-2014 10:29 AM

Done. The Dolores empties into the Colorado about 1/3 mile downstream from the gauging station! :hill:

I wonder if Kane Creek is running high?
