How many fills in a 10# CO2 bottle?

I have used my bottle completely twice now. Both times I was able to air up 8, 33x12.5x15 tires from 10#'s to 30#'s which is only like airing up twice. Is this normal? I expected more. Last time I had my bottle filled at Centinneal, the beer tap place instead of exchanging at General Air, just hoping for more. Is that all I should expect?

That's about all I get too. I fill up 8 35's from 20-22#'s to 40-45#'s

Lame. That's like $10 to air up.

Geez, thanks so much MountainGoat for that time on Slaughterhouse that you aired me up. I had no idea the value of compressed air on the trail, I owe you one.

The more I think about it..... I may have gotten 3 fill-ups from my last bottle. I may be wrong....

I fill up at HCP4X4 and I think it's like $15

No worries Mike. I do it on the cheap with a generic 20lb tank that I can swap in at a grow shop for $12-$20 depending on sale pricing.

It's big and ugly, but it's the most economical solution I know of. :hill: It will save you a chunk of change in the long run if you have room for it.

No, not normal for me. I get about 20-30 fills from 17 to 32 PSI with my 33s and a 10 pound tank. Basically good for at least 5-6 runs. My tires are a bit skinnier though, 33 x 10.50 x 15 on my 40 and 33 x 285 (=11.2) x 16 on the 60. Plus I only go down to 17 pounds because cruisers are heavy!

That sounds about right.. I had a 5lb bottle as a holdover from homebrew days and when I used it I might get like 6 35 x 12.50's aired up.

My 20# bottle has lasted like 4 years now...

...but I haven't been wheeling ;)

Depends on ambient temp. I usually get 4 (16 tires) 35" fills in the summer on my 80 and 3 (12+ tires) fills in the winter. I generally run 12#'s wheeling and 35# filled. The level I air down depends on terrain and traction needed with a side hill stability factor as a variable.
