Picked up a new to me 100 :)

found this on craigslist and just could not believe the condition it was in for 250k truck and more maintenance history that I could believe. Took it in every 40k for all fluids including trans, diff etc as well as anything they ever recommended. The print out was a few pages long all done at Toy Care. As the wife was not keen on me modding the LX aside from the tundra 18" wheels I stuck on without her noticing I decided I would get a clean LC and slowly build it up myself. Really the only part that shows wear is the steering wheel so will se about getting it wrapped or maybe swapping in a wheel from another model.

will be my DD till the engine swap on my DD is done and then hopefully a lift, bumper and sliders will be added in time. Cannot believe how excited I am to have a cruiser of my own again. :)

yeah, still cant believe it, bought it on the spot.

now I need to take a shot at "cranking the torsion bars" which I have read about but never done to get the front up a bit so its not so raked.

Unfortunately that's part of the design - a well balanced 100 sits about 0.5-1" lower in the front than the back otherwise you'll run into handling issues and severely limit front wheel travel. Slee put on my lift and did the alignment and assured me that's exactly how it's supposed to look. When you put some weight in the back it will even out a little better and still ride great though.

Wow, how times have changed... Folks used to go into hiding when they bought one of those things. :p:

looking on MUD it seems you can make a little adjustment, about an inch without any big adverse effects. it seem when people really try to lift more than that it causes issues with other components. I will do a lift later on but may just even it out a little for now. Seems easily reversible if ride quality or handling become an issue.

funny, thats what I did when I sold the 80 and got the LX back then, was almost a little embarrassed but now the 100's seem to be like the 80's of that era.
