Not much to report really, except the Rock Garden bypass is harder this year than last year on the Father's Day Run. It seems that my truck (31 MT/Rs and Lockright) is about the minimum. Open diffs no unless you have taller tires, can't make it through the bypass.
I love the tractor engine chugging away at 500 rpm or so through that rocky section past the rock garden :D
The Jeepster (38" or so IROKs, now on 14 bolt rear with D60 front - at the Snow/Pizza run it had D60 rear with D44 front (which broke)) made really quick work of the Rock Garden until his slipjoint on the front driveshaft came undone. A few minutes later we got it back together and out of the garden. He also climbed up the first optional obstacle without too much trouble - my truck vaporlocked I think so I wasn't willing to try that steep rock face.

Another TJ was on the side of the trail with broken something or other on the front driveline. Seeing a trend here? :D
TTORA was there, as well as a small Bronco group and maybe MHJC, which would account for the group of J**Ps we passed that were waiting for the front axle reassembly.
Good trail as always.
Update: dented my front d/s pretty good, but not so bad I can't run it for a while. Not like my rear on Chinaman's last year :rolleyes: But either way pretty soon I'll have a newly retubed d/s from Englewood D/S :D
