real time broken

The last week or so I noticed my steering was getting loose. Thought it was from the hit and run accident and the used steering box I put in. On the way to go take the boy ice skating and this is what I find. My weekend just got much longer and lots of stuff canceled. Sigh. :( That is all watered down grease in the puddle....and come to think of it I have been driving through a lot of water lately...going out to tear it down and take more pics. Did I mention I have tons of beer?????:beer::beer::beer::beer:

As soon as the 80 is roadworthy I will borrow my neighbor's trailer and head your way. May need help getting it on the trailer.

Didn't you just do that in the Spring? I have heard of aftermarket seals giving out early. Did you use OEM? Need to figure out why it failed so early so when its put back together, it will go together right.

If you dont have the parts, I have a set of OEM stuff. I'm near Parker Rd and Arapahoe Rd.

Don't have the felt and stuff for the back of the knuckle though and it looks like you need that too.

I might be able to run up there a little later this afternoon for an hour.

If your not mobile (other vehicle) I could drop by Burt ifr they are open and you call ahead and pay for it.

You have my number, if not its in the roster

the bolts on bottom were very very loose, 1 may be broken off even. would that cause the leak?

I did just repack the birfs at the wheel packing party...used the OEM stuff that Zep bought for us...

I will call in a bit Ken, thanks!!

looks familiar.

I just did my front axle service this spring...wonder if I need to do it all over again???

Will call Stevinson or Burt for knuckle studs and nuts...do I need a complete front birf kit again? Just for one side? Anyone bored and want beer? :)

Or lickity-split you can tell me when you'll be around and like a flash I can avoid borrowing anything and come get it! Who would have guessed it could be so easy?
