New Goodyear MT/R?

Anybody seen these yet? They're kinda goofy looking...

Thats a great looking tire! That would be perfect for folks wanting a slightly bigger tire that their lift might argue with. Goodyears tend to be on the short. Other than sidewall strength MTR's are fantastic tires!

Sidewall strength is overrated....I bought the Toyo Open Country MT and accepted the compromise of weight for a better sidewall.

I'm with Subzali, I vote goofy looking. :p:

There must be some science behind those differing lug patterns, but I don't like it.. though never really been a fan of Goodyears anyway. YMMV, obviously

It looks directional now...

I just saw these on a Jeep and I don't like them either. I have MTR's and so far no complaints, but I will most likely try another brand when these wear out.

Any recommendations on a MT tire?

i've been very happy with my MT/Rs, but I'm going Trxus on my next set, especially if the new tread pattern is like this...

I looked at them the other day at the tire shop. They don't really appeal to me. However I have no complaints with my original MT/R's so I'm sure these will perform as good or better.

The tire guy couldn't say enough about them but I know a sales person when I see one ;)

The new Wrangler DuraTrac looked interesting though.

It has a chevron pattern, many forward and lateral biting edges, lots of factory syping, tread wraps pretty far onto the sidewall, some great voids on the outside to fling mud and paddle snow.... Tread may look goofy but it looks like the really focused on making a decent all around tire! Too bad the White letters need to be out!
