Matt, I assume you're going to plumb the intake high enough to stay clear of the water crossings. Oil only in these units.

Matt, If you're using 3/4" OD hose for the intake it should be about 1/2" ID. It should just press on over the compressor intake fitting without another interface. Just clamp it off and you're good...

Plug #4 looks normal. The valve springs are good, nothing broken or collapsed. That was my initial thought from Matt's description of blow-back thru the carb. The entire valve train looks good...

What Matt didn't mention is the intake valves on #5 and #6 cylinders won't return to a fully seated position. This assumes that all intake valves and retainer components are nearly the same...
