My first Cruiser

Just found an old pic of my first Cruiser. FJ60 - 10/85 build date. my parents bought that cruiser brand new off the lot - had those stripes painted on. :thumb:

I like perfect.

It's a 77, and was repaired previously. I've been scraping out some silicone and chipping out bondo/filler. It's a tad worse than I thought, as the curved upper supports are rusted pretty bad....

I only have hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, wire wheels, and hand nippers and such. Do you end up torching it out? I don't weld so I think I can...

totally awesome! I got a hand-me-down 70's full manual film camera last year. (yep...need a light meter). I recommend to ANYONE who has only shot digital to shoot like 10 rolls of film at some point....

replace FJ40 door weatherstrip: DIY?

I need to replace the weatherstripping for the doors on the 40 (got OEM). is this a DIY thing or best to bring to a body shop?

If DIY...any tips? I imagine need clean up the old adhesive really...
