I've done it twice in Denver. It's a great time, limit your drivers to 4 and you'll have a lot more fun. Too many people you don't get to race as much and even less if you break down.

Just get it in the dirt and don't worry about the gearing. It doesn't really matter as you don't know how to drive it yet anyhow. Play with it and see what works for you and report back.
