I have not used APRS, so I only know about it in abstract. I don't have a GPS receiver. I know Wes has used APRS recently out at Cruise Moab, not sure if anyone else in the club is using it. It's a position reporting system, so yeah that's all it does, but knowing location of others in town or the trail can be leveraged for lots of uses.
