And no, this thing cannot "crawl" to save its life. Definitely stalled the torgue converter a couple times going over the baby rocks. Had to back up and "bump" it, LOL.
I was overall very happy with it. I loaded it up with a bunch of gear, far more than was needed for the overnight trip, but I wanted to load it down and see how it handled and what the power was like. With the seats down, it has plenty of cargo space, and I was very pleased with the ease of loading in and out (vs a lifted 1st gen 4runner).
It had no issues cruising at 65-75 up I70 to the Empire turn-off, and it accelerated very well on Berthoud Pass, especially for a 4 cylinder. Averaged 27.5 mpg for the trip, and that was with the AC on the entire way.
