I run a BD Orbit lantern for bikepacking and hiking. They do the job, small and light. Much better than dealing with a candle IMHO and nicer than a headlamp for inside the tent. It's bright enough to use inside the WilderNest, although I still use a Coleman fluorescent lantern for that.
Jetboils seem nice (don't have one), although the MSR is more flexible, a touch lighter (with a ultralight pot it'll be about 4 ounces lighter). OTOH, the Jetboil is quite a bit more efficient so you can carry less fuel and really is much better in high winds. Personally since you already have the MSR I doubt you'll see $100 worth of improvement.
