I run a BD Orbit lantern for bikepacking and hiking. They do the job, small and light. Much better than dealing with a candle IMHO and nicer than a headlamp for inside the tent. It's bright enough to use inside the WilderNest, although I still use a Coleman fluorescent lantern for that.
Jetboils seem nice (don't have one), although the MSR is more flexible, a touch lighter (with a ultralight pot it'll be about 4 ounces lighter). OTOH, the Jetboil is quite a bit more efficient so you can carry less fuel and really is much better in high winds. Personally since you already have the MSR I doubt you'll see $100 worth of improvement.

"Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security. " --Albert Einstein
