They asked me to present during dinner, vs. the normal 4-6pm presentations. So it was a packed house....
I basically showed video, still shots of my water rescue and compared it to a similar depth level water crossing I did in my FJC on the Rubicon and then discussed some go forward advice... Look for river bottom characteristics, if first add strap to back before you drop in, create a wake with steady momentum, etc..
I shared my new mantra which is "only cross once and only if you have to." It is a Mantra not a motto, cause I gotta repeat it to myself....
You did a fine job on the presentation . . . considering you received the video about 10pm the previous night.
I've already put it on my to-do list to get you those other recovery pics (and I know I'll have more you can use after my October wheeling trip in Tillamook, Oregon) so you will have plenty to plan an epic presentation at next year's Summit.
