I looked into this years ago. Not such an easy task. This was going with later model ambulance doors on an older tub.

Just off the top of my head I recall the main issues being location of the hinges on the body, area for the striker plate in the tub, as well as issues on the hard top with where the bracing is for the lift gate on older tops vs. ambulance doors.

I think it would be much easier to put early model swing doors (1/2 height) on a new tub with say a soft top than trying go the other route...especially when the hard top is involved.
