I bought it. I posted the same review on mud and heard the holes need massaging. That can happen due to the original being chromed and to tight tolerances and the added thickness of plating. The holes looked the same in person, but I didn't have any measuring tools with me to verify. I'll update when I get home and put it in.

Breakage from something like this might have an awful lot to do its why they broke in the first place. My lift gate was tweaked, and I had just got it mostly sorted and was abut to grease everything when it broke. I don't expect the handle to last long if I just toss it right back in as is.

I figure if it breaks its not a huge expense. Toyota supporting these as long as they have is certainly a blessing, but the quality aftermarket needs our support if we're going to be supported too in the long run.
