So I have read a bit about this online but thought I would get all of your opinion. I recently put a new lift (~4 inches) on my 78 FJ40 and the Front driveshaft binds at the transfer case. I can still turn the shaft by hand so the bind is minimal. I don't think this is typically a problem with this lift but since I also have an SBC conversion my TC is pushed forward. I have 4 degree shims in now. I have read a couple of options online including:
1. CV joint which would require a cut and turn
2. Grind the yoke down
3. Use the yoke on a mini truck shaft, which has more clearance.
Seems like the best option for drivability option 1 above. But I really did not want to put that much effort into it at this point. So, what are all your thoughts on options 2 and 3. Am I missing another option? Am I missing something in general?
